The Marshall Building is a new addition to LSE’s campus, representing the University’s ambition to create a world-class estate. Designed by Grafton Architects and constructed by our client MACE, the large, multi-purpose building “occupies a pivotal position at the southern corner of Lincoln’s Inn Fields and embeds LSE’s presence in one of London’s most iconic garden squares.”
Titan New Lifts were approached by MACE to assist with the lift package for the development. We were asked to provide SIX (a FOUR car group and a Duplex pair) lifts with capacities of 1600kg and 2000kg, serving 13 stops. Machines are Ziehl Abegg 2.0m/s gearless MRL, and Controllers are courtesy of Lester Controls. All lifts are EN81-71 CAT-1 vandal-resistant, with Wittur Pegasus doors and Dewhurst fixtures. Full depth landing architraves also have fully integrated fire curtains. Lifts are now re-tested and in service following four months of contracted BBU.
